Georgia grand jury in jeopardy

Was it any surprise that the Georgia Grand Jury investigation into Donald Trump would be tainted with political persecution? This week we found out that our worst fears were correct: the entire investigation is a sham and they're aiming to win cheap political points and take down Donald Trump.

But the question remains as to exactly how the Georgia Grand Jury is persecuting Trump, and how they expect to take down the 45th President of the United States. For one thing, the District Attorney for Fulton County, Georgia, has been openly hostile to the Trump administration, leading some to believe that the DA, Fani Willis, is looking to boost her own political career at the expense of Trump's.

According to Hans von Spakovsky, a Heritage Foundation legal analyst, "No one should give any credibility to the findings of this grand jury," because it seems that the people in charge of investigating Trump would stop at nothing to dig up dirt on the former President. Spakovsky continued by saying, "the DA there, Fani Willis, has made it very clear that she is not only politically ambitious, but that she is unethical."

When you couple this anti-Trump sentiment with the recent interviews given by the jury foreperson, Emily Kohrs, it's easy to see the political bias that threatens to unravel the entire investigation. While it remains unclear whether or not the Fulton County DA will indict former President Trump on any charges, one thing is crystal clear: the investigation was carried out with extreme bias against the defendant, which will (hopefully) be enough to clear Trump of any wrongdoing.

A former Justice Department lawyer believes recent media reports about the Fulton County, Georgia, grand jury's probe into allegations former President Trump attempted to disrupt the 2020 election is "political persecution" and not a justifiable investigation.

Hans von Spakovsky, a Heritage Foundation legal analyst, told Fox News Digital he does not believe the ongoing investigation into whether Trump interfered with the state's 2020 presidential election results is credible on the merits or in the approach that Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has taken.

"No one should give any credibility to the findings of this grand jury," von Spakovsky told Fox News Digital. Von Spakovsky previously served as counsel to the assistant attorney general for civil rights, was a former member of the Federal Election Commission (FEC) and once served on the Fulton County elections board.
