We've forgotten what it truly means to be a Christian.

There are those in the world that want to claim that we as Christians are "faking it," "pretending," "not a real Christian," etc. if we dare call out deception, idolatry, or downright evil. They have completely misrepresented what it means to love God, and subsequently, what it means to love your neighbor.

When the question was presented, Jesus told his followers that the greatest commandment is to "Love the Lord your God with all you heart, soul, mind, and strength." But what does that mean? Now, I'm not classically trained in theology and what the words of the Bible really mean, but I'd like to offer my own thoughts. Loving God means you become totally and one hundred percent devoted to Him. Your will becomes aligned with His will. You love the things He loves, and you detest the things He detests. It also means you peacefully but aggresively stand up to the aforementioned things He detests.

The second part of Jesus' answer is in regards to what the second greatest commandment is, which He tells us is to "Love our neighbor as ourself." Today's society wants to believe that loving your neighbor means you nod along to everything anyone says. There are certain instances where that may be the case, but people forget that truly loving your neighbor means that every now and then, some tough love is required. You've got to be willing to help course correct people when they're making stupid decisions.

Just because someone may not agree with your point of view and might even be willing enough to voice it doesn't mean they hate you. Often times, it means they care about you enough to point out when you're not making smart choices. Standing up to evil is an act of love, both to God and your neighbor. You please God by not giving into evil, and you show your nieghbor you care enough to want to see them succeed and not be overcome with evil.

Paul writes in Romans 12:21 "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." We as Christians can't simply aimlessly nod our head along to anything and everything that we're presented with. We have to be willing to point out evil and deception when we see it, because if we don't, we end up with things like the trans agenda, the pro-choice abortion movement, the sexual revolution, racial divides, and other things of a similar nature.

It's time to start standing up. A popular turn of phrase: "time to grow a pair." They're going to call us names and misrepresent our views. Know what to do in that situation? Turn the other cheek. They hate it when we do that. Hate it with a passion. Show them what you've got, patriots. We can win this thing. It's just going to take a whole lot of work.

God bless.
